They have this hairdryer/straightener at my local Blue Mercury, but it’s expensive and would love reviews of any Dyson or other hairdryers that are good for straightening hair (I currently splurge on blowouts - so a good hair dryer would be a smart investment!) The one I’m looking at: |

Mine is the Supersonic and has the Flyaway attachment. It really does a good job of smoothing the frizzies - and being in humidity central it gets put to the test. Haven't used the one you link, but I'm sure the quality would be comparable. |

I cannot tell a difference in how quickly my hair dries or any difference in frizzies. Babyliss is much less expensive. I just checked and I purchased mine in 2018 and it's still going strong. I had one before that that also lasted a good long time. It takes close to 30 minutes to dry my hair completely with a diffuser attachment (not theirs), so it gets a workout. |

It was fine but nothing extraordinary and not worth the cost IMO. I bought a Laifen instead and love it. www.laifentech.com/products/laifen-swift-special-high-speed-hair-dryer-3-nozzles |

No way could I take it in a checked bag. I haven’t tried the one you linked. It looks difficult to get to your roots. |

I like it but some things to consider. You can get your roots with it (click it together and blow that way) but you pretty much can’t get volume at your roots without using something else. Similarly, you can’t get much polish at your ends with this - it’s just straight. I like the Airstrait and it’s the best way to get my naturally curly, frizz-prone hair straight and really the only way I can do it myself. BUT it’s not a one and done for me, I always use my Airwrap after to get a little volume or else it’s just TOO straight and flat. |

It sucks. |

It is the most I have ever spent for a hair dryer, but less expensive than the Dyson. My niece is a hair stylist and she recommended it. She also has both a Dyson and a Shark and she likes the Shark better. |

I have naturally wavy hair, now greying, and the Babyliss + hair products + round brush = do a nice job of drying and taming my hair to a nice gentle wave. |
